Hi,
I have a problem solving a simulation on a step geometry (BFS) whose heat flux is inserted at the bottom of the domain (as attached image). I developed the velocity profile on a separate channel using the cyclic domain, then mapped this profile to the inlet of the BFS. I have attached the case and would like an opinion of what may be wrong (I believe the error may be linked to the boundary conditions used in the pressure...). The heat flux at the bottom of the domain was used at the ratio q/k (I don't know if it's the best way...). I also don't know if solver buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam is the best choice (Although I think it's the only one). OF version is 5. Re = 56000 (based on the half height of the inlet channel). |
