Hi users,

I am analyzing heat transfer in a multiregional model (singleFluidCHT), where the fluid domain is closed, that is, I have no inlet or outlet.

I have started to use OpenFoam 8 because in this new version it is possible to define viscosity and thermal conductivity vs temperature through tabulated data. Additionally, version 8 has moved from solving enthalpy to energy for solids.

Please find attached the pressure, velocity and temperature boundary condition files used for the fluid region.

p.c

U.c

T.c

These boundary conditions work fine in v7. However in v8 I get the continuity error.

Any advice or recommendation?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Hi everybody,

Finally, the issue was not in the boundary conditions as I believed, but in the application of gravitational acceleration.

I have solved the problem by neglecting the force of gravity on the fluid (air). Which in my case is admissible since it is a MRF study.
