Existence of tutorials for laminar, incompressible, and steady-state flows?

Hello,
I'm trying to simulate Stokes / creeping flow around a cylinder at a Reynolds number of 0.01 using the SIMPLE algorithm. I know what the analytical solution to my problem looks like; unfortunately, my simulation results are completely wacky and vary widely depending on what mesh type I use! I understand that solutions can change drastically depending on the combination of mesh type, interpolation method, and smoother used, and I was wondering whether OpenFOAM has any tutorials specifically for laminar, incompressible, and steady-state cases. I've checked tutorials listed under SIMPLE, but all of those cases involve turbulence. There used to be a laminar, incompressible, and steady-state tutorial for two concentric, rotating cylinders (link here), but the code for it doesn't seem to exist anymore (link). Would anyone happen to know whether the code for the rotating cylinders case exists in another location or whether there is a similar tutorial I could look at to understand the mesh, interpolation methods, and smoothers used? Thank you very much!! |

Can you share a little bit more information on your case. What are the boundary conditions you are using? Are you using cyclic BC at all outer boundaries and noSlip on the cylinder ?
I am currently simulating Stokes-Flow arround a single sphere and came across similar problems. |
