samlee New Member Join Date: May 2016 Posts: 14 Rep Power: 9	Dear Foamers, could anyone tell me the difference between phi, phiv, phid and phiU in SonicFoam? Besides, since sonicFoam and rhoPimpleFoam both use PISO algorithm, what difference between them? I have checked the source codes and found the .C file are almost identical. Thank you all. Sam.

Yann Scott New Member Yann Scott Join Date: Oct 2019 Posts: 5 Rep Power: 6	I only knows that Phi = U when it comes to solve incompressible models. I have no clue about the sonicFoam one. Any news about the meaning of phiv and phid in general? lpz456 likes this.
