polyMesh directory files contain special characters

Hello everyone,

I'm new to OpenFOAM. Lately I have been trying to run the motorBike tutorial. When I execute the surfaceFeatureExtract command, the resulting polyMesh directory files except the 'boundary' file contains special characters. I have attached the file for reference. Any help is greatly appreciated.
