Hello Dear Foamers,
I have come across interesting question!
Is it possible to utilize adaptive mesh refinement for oscillating body in openfoam?
Any responce will be appreciated.

Yes. Maybe not the best approach though. Take a look at overset meshes.

Dear Tobermory, thanks for the reply.

I am interested in your opinion, why it is not a good approach?!

Please, give me some information.

Thank you again.

Well, I know very little about what it is that you are trying to achieve ... how much motion there is, whether the body touches another surface, whether it is rotating around another body etc etc. Perhaps take a look at overset meshes as well as AMR - you might find something interesting. Otherwise, perhaps come back to the forum once you have a specific question in mind. Good luck my friend.
