Dear Foamers,

I'm trying to simulate a periodic box of air using rhoCentralFoam/rhoPimpleFoam. The system is initialised with T=300 K, p=1e-5 Pa, U=(0,0,0) m/s. I copied the thermoPhysicalProperties file from a standard tutorial that looked like was dealing with air (e.g. movingCone/helmhotzResonance). When solving, all other variables except e take taking only 0/1 iteration to complete, but e takes a whooping 1000!

I read on the forum that this might be caused by incorrect BC, but I'm confused if cyclic BC is the real culprit here. I also tried reducing deltaT, but no luck. Can someone please help me figure out what's causing this?

Thanks a lot in advance,
S

PS: I'm developing a new solver for some other simulations and this is a stepping-stone in the process. So, I have to use a compressible solver to simulate air.
