Hello,
I am doing the conventional diesel engine simulation in OpenFOAM, but the heat release rate computed from Qdot of combustion model of the appraent heat release rate are too high comparing with experiment. And the it worthy noted that the chemical heat release is too fast that the simulation automatically stops.
I have tried different chmistry mechanism and turbulence model or spray model constant, but the similar trend is not changed. However, for the single-step reaction of C7H16, the heat release and pressure is normal. So I want to know which parameters I need to change and the cause of this strange trend. The computed pressure and heat release rate are as attached pictures. The time step in combustion process is 0.002 CAD and the ode solution is applicated.
Thanks for any advices!
