I am wondering if there a ready-to-use OpenFOAM solver for simulating two-phase flow involving thermal condensation-evaporation processes and variable gas transport properties. I am aware of the interCondensationEvaporationFoam solver, which is utilized for incompressible cases with constant properties.

Hey,
I think twoPhaseEulerFoam or reactingTwoPhaseEulerFoam could suit your needs, although they are difficult to work with considering the numerous features they include ![]() |

Many Thanks!.
You are completely right. The Euler Euler MPF model requires more computational resources and time compared with the VOF/mixtre based models. Moreover, one should be aware about the accuracy of the used assumptions and the interfacial transfer models!. |
