I am wondering if there a ready-to-use OpenFOAM solver for simulating two-phase flow involving thermal condensation-evaporation processes and variable gas transport properties. I am aware of the interCondensationEvaporationFoam solver, which is utilized for incompressible cases with constant properties.

Hey,
I think twoPhaseEulerFoam or reactingTwoPhaseEulerFoam could suit your needs, although they are difficult to work with considering the numerous features they include

Many Thanks!.
You are completely right. The Euler Euler MPF model requires more computational resources and time compared with the VOF/mixtre based models. Moreover, one should be aware about the accuracy of the used assumptions and the interfacial transfer models!. |
