Dear All,

I've finished doing the initial implementation and running a few simple test cases of a new solver, MGsimpleFoam, which applies an FAS-Multigrid method to the solution of steady, incompressible, viscous flow. It is in fact a multigrid implementation of simpleFoam.
The results obtained so far are in line with the expectations for a multigrid code so further development will go on.

For those of you who might be interested I've uploaded a short presentation document in my wiki page (http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/TestLucaG).

I wish to mention that the fact that this implementation was possible with a really limited amount of coding was to me once more an impressive demonstration of the tremendous potential of OpenFoam and of the outstanding value of the people who conceived and developed it.

Regards,

Luca

Hi Luca,

sounds really impressive! Probably needless to say, that I would like to test it in combination with your great turbulence work :-)

Best Regards!

Have you released the source for your FAS solver?
