what's the difference between ODE and Eulerimplict？ -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

ajogajog New Member Frank Ann Join Date: Dec 2016 Posts: 6 Rep Power: 9	In chemistryProperties， we need to define the chemistrySolver ODE and Eulerimplict can be selected here, but in ode solver, there still have a EulerSI and Euler. the source code of ODE is in the /src/ODE/ODEsolvers including Euler EulerSI and some else the source code of Eulerimplicit is in the /src/thermophysicalmodels/chemistrymodel/chemistrysolver My question is what's the difference between these two ? and in my experience, the Eulerimplicit is much faster than ODE, why? thank you !!!
