Hi everyone,
I have simulated the square cavity problem using the rhoCentralFoam solver at the following conditions: Re= 400, 1000 Ma~0.08. I have also simulated it using the incompressible solver icoFoam and a Roe-solver. while the results of incompressible icoFoam and those of compressible Roe-solver agree with Ghia et al(1982), the rhoCentralFoam solver gives a little different solution. The differences are more evident at the max/min of the (u-Y) and (v-X) profiles. Have anyone performed such a simulation using the rhoCentralFoam solver? Do you have any idea about the cause of such differences? Regards. |
