Hi all,

I made some simulations with rotating meshes successfully. Now I want to do a very simple thing.

The mesh I use is in the attachment.
I just want to displace the right boundary for 50 mm to the right.

I think this should be very easy with OpenFOAM but I did not get any solution with the dynamicMeshFoam and the tutorials :/

All hints are arppreciated.
Regards
Tobi

Do you mean moveDynamicMesh?

The example that comes to mind is in this post: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tml#post394044 post #2

Best regards,
Bruno

Thanks Bruno,
that's what I need

Modified for 2.2.x and now its clear but one question remains.
In the attachment you find a picture of my moving mesh.
Is it possible that the first two points moves too?

For me its not clear how to do it. Maybe I have to use groovy like in your tutorial? But I think this should work with
fixedValue too?

Regards Tobi

From the picture you had attached to the first post, I'm not sure which «first two points» you're referring to.

Nonetheless, have a look into this post: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tml#post398703 post #12 - it moves a whole wall, instead of just some points...

It's that I can't really remember which case is which... and I'm too lazy right now to check it myself But the two posts are related, since they derive from the same case.

Best regards,
Bruno
