Hi,


I am trying to simulate rising of bubble in a solid-liquid suspension. For the bubble-liquid interface interFoam solver is used. Particle addition is carried out by swak4Foam. But when I am running the simulations, I am getting a warning like "No entry 'dimension' in field muField". However I am able to complete the simulations.

Should I do something?

Please help.

No. swak turns of dimension checking for its calculations because that would complicate things for the user (for instance: half of the numeric constants people use in expressions would need to have to have dimensions added to them. Otherwise dimension checking when adding them to a field that is not dimensionless would fail). Of course that disables one of the cool (and for the novice user annoying) features of OF: dimension checking. swak4Foam assumes that the user did the dimension checking of his expressions by hand

The expressionField function object allows the user to specify a dimension for the result post-calculation because sometimes it is used to "mock" the existence of a field for a boundary condition etc that checks for that dimension. Also: it is good practice to add that dimension to document "I checked the dimension: this is it". I rarely do this. But this only proofs what I always say "Just because I wrote swak4Foam doesn't mean that I use it properly"
