Hi guys, I'm a new users in CFD (above all with OpenfFOAM), but I'm trying to learn it.
I'd like to say excuse me in advance if my questions would be naive and if I've posted in the wrong section. I'm trying to convert (with OpenFOAM tutorial "decayIsoTurb" founded in tutorials/incompressible/pimplefoam/LES/) an energy spectrum (energy.png) in a velocity field, in order to initialize turbulence in a combustion model that I'm studying in another software: Attachment 92582 I've tried to calculate values of E(k) with a Matlab script (spettro.txt): Attachment 92583 Now, I have two big problems: the first is that values of E(k) don't seem to be realistic; the second one is that when I'm try to run my case I can go as far as giving the command "createBoxTurb". When I launch pimpleFoam I get this error (error.txt): Attachment 92584 I don't think that I will need to solve with pimpleFoam because I only need values of U in "0" created with boxturb, but I think that this fact is a clear indication that something in my setup is wrong. I was also trying to attach my entire folder in .rar, but I cannot do it. I hope that someone could help me. Thank you very much for your time Last edited by nik.rapons; April 22, 2023 at 10:18. |
