Hi All,
it is my first post here and I appreciate your help and support. I am software engineer and I have very limited information about CFD stuff. I read a book "Introduction to Flight by John Anderson" and I am very interested to do simulations for few 3D plane models and extract parameters from it ( Lift, Drag, coeffecients, ... etc). If the simulation gave successful results, I will then model them and fly them using Ardupilot. I don't want to use any cracked SW ( ansys, solidworks,...) so I kept searching till I found openFoam and paraview. I believe it is mature to fullfill my needs. What I am missing is someone to put me on track for what I need to do to achieve my goals. I don't know actually how or from where to start. It is very rare to find videos on Youtube to simulate Aerodynamics stuff with openfoam. Most videos are for commercial SWs ( Ansys,...). any tutorials, suggestions, guidance,.. will be much appreciated. Note: I can use FreeCAD to draw the airplane in 3D |
