Hello Foamers,
I am new in Openfoam, For my case study I want to simulate Natural Convection in a simple cavity with chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam solver I have realized that chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam does not support Boussinesq approximation so what should I do?
Best,
Mohammad.

Hey!

It is possible! You can change the equationOfState field to Boussinesq in the thermophysicalProperties file (if you are using the ESI version). You then need to add a subdictionary equationOfState with the appropriate fields related to the Boussinesq approximation (plenty of detail online).

Hello Alczem,
Thank you so much. I have tried that method but I could not set my case properly. Do you have any case study about changing equationOfState field to Boussinesq?
Best,
Mohammad.

Hey,

You can check out this link:

https://doc.cfd.direct/openfoam/user...thermophysical

It describes how to use the different equationOfState models. You can easily find examples online too, a lof of threads on this forum have discussed this.
