Solving magnetic field multiple domains in same mesh

Hello all,

how to solve a problem where different geometrical objects with different thermal and electrical properties must be solved on same mesh? For example when solving magnetic field into induction coil and there's some other material inside!
Also - how to generate shuch mesh where object boundaries coincide with mesh cells?
Soon I will have to solve this one and at the moment I have no idea.. Your comments and advices are welcome!

You don't: you make material properties a field and then define diferent values at different parts of the domain.

is it really unneccessary for mesh to fit boundaries like metal-air?
Where field values are stored on the mesh? For example if half of the cell is in metal, other in air, how can I evaluate it's electrical conductivity? Or I don't understand how field is created and used?
