Hello former,

I wanna solve the temperature distribution in metal tank while emptying its hot containment.

Attached Geometry.PNG shows its physical shape.

Situation is
  1. Initial: liquid is stored in tank, outlet is closed, heat exchange occurs among liquid, solid, and atmosphere.
  2. Emptying: whole tank is tilted and outlet is open. Liquid escapes the tank trough gravity driven flow.
  3. Final: outlet is closed again, tank return horizontal position.

My approach so far is following
  1. Add a couple of baffles between tank(purple) and outlet(orange)
  2. Assign activePressureForceBaffleVelocity boundary condition for baffles
  3. Add time dependent body force to simulate dumping out the tank
  4. Pressure changes due to body force allows liquid flow through baffles

My questions are:
  1. My approach is applicable for given situation?
  2. Is there any tutorial or case study that I can refer? Especially for time dependent body force part, I wanna a tutorial for fvOption.
  3. Or any case where emptying a container after some turning point(by opening closed outlet)
