Hello everyone,
In my OpenFOAM case, I am doing compression test on a cube geometry and I need to get stress-strain curve. I am assuming linear elastic isotropic material. Stress-strain curve for linear elastic material should show linear behaviour of material (according to the Hook's law). After running simulations I got following values: sigmaxx, sigmayy, sigmazz, sigmaxy, sigmaxz, sigmayz, and sigmaMagnitude epsilonxx, epsilonyy, epsilonzz, epsilonxy, epsilonxz, epsilonyz, and epsilonMagnitude Which value I can use for making stress-strain curve (e.g. sigmaxy-epsilonxy, or sigmaMagnitude-epsilonMagnitude ......etc). Where (e.g. at the middle of the cube geometry or at the sides of cube geometry etc.) I can plot a line for getting stresses and strains values for plotting stress-strain curve in compression test? Does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance. Best regards, Sangeeta |
