Hello,
First at all, I am quite new to OpenFOAM and CFD Simulations. From a segmentation I have different meshes at different time steps (say at times 0, 0.1, 0.2, ...). Just the Position of the points change at the moment, not the amount of cells. So in my case directory I put in 0/polyMesh a points file, in 0.1/polyMesh a points file and so on. Then I ran the standard pisoFoam solver. It does work somehow and the mesh actually changes at the time steps but I don't think there is an impact of the changing mesh on the velocity and pressure variables. I found the dynamicMesh utility in the tutorials section but I guess it does something else than I want. So, is such a simulation possible and how is the correct procedure? Thanks a lot! Zymon |
