Dear Foamers
I want to solve a transient turbomachinery problem using turbDyMFoam. As I've read in OpenFOAM user guide, there are four time discretization that are: - steadyState - Euler - backward - crankNicolson and three latter are implicit. However, when I use them, a courant number also appears. As I know implicit time discretizations are unconditionally stable, then what is this courant number? Does it can be upper than 1 ?! If no, how should I use a real implicit method?!! Thank you Mohammadreza |
