Hi guys,

I've got a case where I've got a domain in which two objects are being meshed with snappyHexMesh. The geometries are touching the ground/floor (z-direction) and are ~50 cm high. Now I want to apply along the whole ground/floor a layer of water with 5 mm height. Therefore the mesh on the floor needs to be much finer than the rest (3-4 cells in z-direction).

I've tried several things like to define in SHMDict a searchableBox for the whole ground/floor and let it refine in refinementRegions with many levels, but it only ends to refine the area around the objects and the rest is still coarse, so that the objects are more in a puddle.

Has anyone an idea how I can refine the whole ground/floor so that it is much finer in the area of 5mm in z-direction?

I would be very grateful about any input! Thanks in advance guys
