Hello,

I'm trying to view some streamlines using streamtracer and it doesn't seem to plot anything.

I am using input from a .plt file which has been output from tau2plt packaged with the DLR-TAU flow solver.

The case I am using is a 3D wing segment with 0 sweep and two symmetry planes either side.

First thing to mention is that when the case loads there are 2 'zones'. Zone1 deals with all the flow variables as point data for all the boundaries. Zone2 is the point data for the volume. Confusingly the points are labelled as hexa and prism but I'm assuming that I have cell vertex data.

When I load the case up the first thing is that the velocity components come as scalars so I use the Calculator filter to convert them to a vector using the velocity data from the vloume.

Now I want to look at some streamlines so I try a use streamtracer. I have never used this before so I'm trying to just use the default settings. The only thing I have played around with is the point/line source part. The result is the same in both cases, I get no stream lines whatsoever.

Can someone help me out with sorting this please?

Thanks,
Ben

I'm using paraview 4.1.0 on 64-bit linux built from source

I have also run the test case and I can get streamlines to show up there as well so there is no fault with paraview.
