Hi folks,
I'm using paraview to post-process a flow through a narrow channel. I would like to see how the vector magnitude changes after/before narrow channel but my attempts have been less than stellar. I'm essence this is what I want to plot is in the pic attached. I have seen something along the lines of what I want in third picture this link for a patch. In my case there is no patch and it's in the middle of the domain but I can't seem to replicate it. https://pingpong.chalmers.se/public/...o?item=3209036 Thanks. Ruonin |

I managed to generate a similar image as the one you're talking about (I think) by making a slice normal to the velocity and then a slice of that slice normal to it in the center. The result is a straight line. Then make use of glyphs, with size set by vector for that line, and displaying the first slice.

Dear yambanshee,
that did the trick! So simple, I'm kicking myself for not figuring it out! Thanks. Ruonin Quote:
