I would like to know whether the boundary coincides with cell node or cell wall in a typical 1-Dimesional uniform gridding in PHOENICS.
Thanks in advance Sanjay |

The boundaries of the solution domain coincide with the cell faces. Cell nodes are not stored at the domain boundaries, only between the centres of the cell faces.

Dear Mike! Thanks for your clarification. If I know cell centre values, I hope I can get the values at cell faces using east(indvar), in case of east face. To call this value, what exactly should be the command to be used in ground? Thanks in advance. regards, Sanjay

Scalar variables are stored at cell centres, and the velocities at cell faces. If you want the values of scalar variables at the cell faces, then these would have to be obtained by interpolation from the surrounding nodal values.
