structured mesh for a coil

Dear users,
I’m trying to prepare a structured mesh for a coil (fig.1). I decided to apply a square block inside the coil (fig. 2). I also prepared a boundary layer block . Now I want to create essential domains (one of this is shown in fig. 3) and build four blocks between square core and boundary layer blocks. I added two connectors highlighted in fig. 2 but obtained mesh is tragic (fig. 3). Frankly, I don’t have any idea how to avoid this problem. (I suspect that domain created on database can generate this problem). I also created square core using only connectors (fig. 4) but these blocks contain negative volume elements. Could you give me any suggestions? Best regards |
