Dear All,

I am new in CFD-online and I am new in Pointwise.
Recently, I am learning Pointwise with its TutorialWorkbook. When I got through chapter 14, PEGASUS 5 is needed for overset grid assembly.
I sent a request to NASA and haven't got a reply. (Since I'm not a US citizen, I'm not authorized to use it, right?) Then I turned to Google for Suggar++, only to find it's "available for licensing in the U.S and the world under an EAR-99 export license".

So, where can I get PEGASUS or Suggar++? Or some substitute?

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

You are correct in that Pointwise does not ship with an overset grid assembler, you will need to have either PEGASUS or Suggar++. As you've done, you will need to request PEGASUS from NASA or purchase a license of Suggar++ from Celaritas Simulation Technology.

Thank you,

I explored in the website of Celaritas Simulation Technology (http://celeritassimtech.com/)
and found no links for downloading or purchasing Suggar++. Does it mean that I don't belong to "the world under an EAR-99 export license" or I should email a request to CST?

You'll need to email sales@CeleritasSimTech.com found under the Contact Us page.

Hi FSYH,

I am also new in CFD-online and I am interested in using overset grids in OpenFOAM, potentially created with Pointwise. I am curious if you were able to obtain a license for Suggar++ or PEGASUS, and if so, what your experience with either of them has been like so far. Any information would be extremely helpful!

Thank you in advance for your time
