Hi everyone,

I want a mesh like this,

This is actually a mesh for terrain I saw on Pointwise's homepage.

I only know to extrude domains, but I wonder how can I get coarse mesh on the upside of the model during domain extrusion?
Or where can I get an awsome script named TurbineSiting.glf,as I read about on the web?

Thank you so much!

Hello,

The mesh in the image you are referring to was generated using a single hyperbolic extrusion. However, the hanging nodes (or coarsening) were done as a postprocessing step using a piece of software written by Vestas. Pointwise does not support hanging nodes. Here's an image highlighting the process Vestas used, http://www.pointwise.com/theconnecto...2-1385x853.png.

The turbine siting script is under review and will be uploaded to GitHub once complete.
