Simple goal, haven't found a solution

My aim is to create a square mesh around a shape but I have yet to find anything outlining how to accomplish this and haven't found a solution by playing around in Pointwise either. This video is on the right track but that method fails for me. I'm unable to select the inner shape after selecting outer box as the first edge. Essentially I just need to tell the mesh to stop when it hits a certain boundary, is this possible?

No one? I've found a workaround in splitting the full domain in half, creating two domains, and making the joint an empty boundary condition. Surely there's a way to tell pointwise to create a domain between two closed connectors.

Is there an example Pointwise project file that you could share that would help illustrate what you're attempting to accomplish? Creating a single domain with a hole, or internal edge, is relatively straightforward. You just need to ensure that the direction of connectors selected to define the inner edge is oriented opposite the direction of the connectors used for the domain's outer edge. Perhaps this is why it didn't seem to work for you? This video may be more instructive for you.
If not, then I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to accomplish that is different, and an example might help illustrate this better. |

What I wanted was to have two boundaries, say here -| |-and here, and tell it to create a domain between the two. But I have since learned that extruding cannot do that as it uses a marching method. I got what I needed using an unstructured domain.
