Hello

I am excited about working with this program,
so I made the Tutorials simulations, although I am having a problem with the superficial waves.
when I was training, in the example "REEF3D: wavemaker.dat", I copied the Reef3d and the dive mesh files to the same directory of the exercise, then I ran:
1)./DiveMESH
2)mpirun -n 4 reef3d ( I checked if in the files ctrl and control the M 10 both had 4)
3) paraview &
I opened the pvtu file (with paraview)

and my problem is:
I can see superficial waves when pressing the "play" (short animation).
I selected elevation, I can see the model elevation (red on top, blue at the bottom), but no waves.

I also checked the pressure and it looks fine

I tried all the available options (currents, eddies, phi, etc..)

I ran it all again 3 times and always have the same result.

I also did the clip scalar, when I do this I can see the waves trough but never the crest as in the manual.

finally, I also tried to input the command P 180 1 to access free surface, but the results were the same

I hope someone can help me
Thank you very much

Hi Bruno,

could you post a paraview figure showing you problem?

Hi Bruno,

just reading your message again. It looks like you need to use the contour filter in Paraview. Then, under "Properties", select "Contour by": phi. Phi is the level set function (signed distance function), where the zero value exactly represents the free surface. Scroll down a bit, then for "Isosurfaces" use the single value 0.
