Hello everyone,

I just wanted to confirm/ask whether a combination of a tide + waves in the FNPF module is possible. For the SFLOW- and CFD-module, one could try to generate an additional (uniform) inflow with W10 and I guess try to simulate at least one high tide/ low tide. Also, the patch boundary conditions would be an option.

Is such a thing also possible in the FNPF module? From my understanding (and the user guide), patchBCs do not work at the moment for FNPF. So I guess without a little programming, adding a tide wave to a storm scenario is at the moment impossible?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Felix,

yes, the patchBC approach for waves is on my ToDo list. Are you thinking FNPF current plus waves for a real-world case or lab case? I guess if it is not to complicated, this could be done without patchBC.

Hey,

I was thinking about something like a real world, one day simulation of a storm scenario with waves + tide.
