Dear REEF3D Team,
First of all, thank you for your amazing software; it is just great. You are doing a great job! Secondly, I am kindly asking for your advice with the following problem: I want to calculate a score around a cylinder which is in contact with a bed. Please, see the Figure 1. Here I met the following problem: because the cylinder is in contact with the bed, firstly, bed are partially in the body (Figure 2), and, secondly, here are zero velocities around the cylinder because the bed is impermeable. Thus, there is no scour under the cylinder as it is expected. In order to solve this task, I think that it is possible to use the VRANS porous media (S10 2 and B270). I tried to implement this scenario (Figure 3); however, there is no hill after the cylinder. Therefore, am I on the right way or should I use something else? Thank you for your attention in advance! P.S. I also attach my current model in control.txt and ctrl.txt. P.S.S. I use REEF3D 23.03 and DiveMESH 23.03. |
