Good day REEF3D team. I am new using REEF3D, and now I am working the Tutorials, my main interest is the modeling of complex hydraulic structures using stl files.

I was running the tutorial "10.4 Flow through a Narrow Contraction", but, in Paraview, the surface (phi=0 and its velocity) show results in the lateral solids. I am running v23.12 (REEF3D ans DIVEMesh), and I canīt reproduce the manual's figures (Figure 10.4). I attach figures with the velocity field on the surface without showing the solid and with the solid.

Can you please help me understand the values inside the solid, and how to get them out of the visualization?

Thank you

Hey,

Add P 25 1 to the ctrl.txt.
Rerun the simulation.
Clip the REEF3D-CFD-000000.pvtu* in ParaView -> scalar -> solid -> value = 0 -> disable the "Invert" tick box.
Add the clip filter for phi afterwards on the prior clip-filter.
Be aware that ParaView interpolates the solid field and the boundary is not completely identical with the boundary of the REEF3D_Solid.vtp.

Enjoy.
