when ever a flow is changing from subsonic to supersonic, then the flow is no more steady.

actually the flow is highly compressible(in your case sics you said supersonic outlet) at the outlet and...

can you tell me which version of OpenFoam r u using

if u use 1.5 then its better to use rhoturbFoam

or

if u use 1.6 then use sonicFoam
