Solved, the issue was that it did not get installed in opt folder however, it was in home/openFOAM directory and I had to refer to this directory in my bashrc as

Installation of two versions of OF, cannot find after installation

I have had OF from OF.org now I installed OFplus from OF.com.
I followed the instructions at (http://openfoam.com/code/build-guide.php).
Also in my bashrc before installation I did:
