c'mon..you'll have a phd..plenty of money...:) Or, as I do, work for an employer that has education-reimbursement That is a great way to take a class of interest.

$5000 is a little expensive, but not too much. I have no idea how much a short course costs..in the USA, if you are not a full time student you pay by the hour, and it can get pricey.
