I found it!!

The solution was to use

path = "Desktop/AutoCore"
grid_file = os.path.join(path, "mytest_121000.xyz")
func_file = os.path.join(path, "mytest_121000.fun")

dataset =...

Load *.xyz file with pyTecplot

I am trying to load a *.xyz file along with it's function file *.fun using pyTecplot.

These load fine using the command prompt and when I just load them using Tecplot.
