Is it possible to use T-Rex and have equilateral...

Is it possible to use T-Rex and have equilateral triangles in the layers? Or maybe hexahedral cells in the BL with smooth transition to tetrahedra?

For my Master's thesis I'm trying to correctly mesh the following geometry (https://imgur.com/a/bPGQtDc). The mesh is 3D in reality and not 2D, the picture below is just a simplification....
