The reason is that you are working with mapped blocks... by definition, the node counts on opposite sides of a mapped block must match (or it is not mapped). If you create a series of mapped...

Do you mean it always copies the entire distribution or it always copies the mesh counts... Maybe attach an image so we can better understand what you are seeing.

You can adjust it to not copy...
