about parasitic currents.. i'm not that familiar with these cuz i havent rly tried to simulate these flow patterns in cfd.. there dimensionless numbers to check..like capilarity, laplace...

maybe the higher gravity is changing your flow...

maybe the higher gravity is changing your flow pattern and the slug pattern is no longer physically possible/expected.. try increasing your volumetric flux, but you might have to deal with turbulence...
