Hi,
Could anyone please comment on the use of pro*am and / or solidwork working with pro*am ? We are interested in those two tools, but would like to hear about experian of others. What kind of demand does pro*am have for the CAD geometri, details etc. Thanks in advance. Regards Roued |

I believe the SolidWorks/Proam interface works on solidparts. The output is a unformily tesselated surface which passes the Proam surface checks without any fixing. Additionally faces in the Solidworks model can be named and will appear in Proam with the same name.
There are no demands on the geometry apart from the fact it is a solid part. With assemblies these can be converted to a sinlge part with the join command. The inverse of the part can be created using a Boolean operation. For more info contact support@cd.co.uk |
