Hi all, I recently installed star-CD. when I try to open pro-star, it shows an error saying " Error attempting to open X display". Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, -Kiran

if your operating system is MS Windows you have to run an Xwindows emulator before you launch prostar.
Adapco provides Xvisions if i remember together with star. it can be found on the installation CD. If there is no such a thing installed on your computer ask the administrator to complete the star installation.

Thanks for ur reply. I do have exceed and for some reason, star doesn't open exceed automatically. I tried opening exceed manually and then was able to open prostar. I don't have the same problem with gambit. anyways, thnx for ur help. Regrds.
