Hi all I used STAR CD4.02.
Proam manual wrote "If the shells in question have not been created in pro-STAR but have been imported from external sources, it is important to associate them first with their adjacent fluid cells. The association operation may be performed using command CSHELL." . Shells in my cell table are no.2 and no.3 . Fluid is no.4 . I inputted CSHELL => all but it did not work. Messages on the prostar out: MESH*> cshell ENTER ICTID, NC1(1),NC2(NC1),NCINC(1) CSHE*> all 43456 BAFFLES AND SHELLS FOUND 0 BAFFLES AND SHELLS ASSOCIATED WITH FLUID CELLS IN THE RANGE Could someone help me? Thanks |

There was a bug with the cshell command in one of the earlier prostar-v4 versions. Try it with the latest version (v404_12).

Sigh.. I think there 's a bug in export mapped data to ABAQUS too.
When I selected Map Wall Data button, the segmentation fault appeared. |

If I want to associate the shell with the fluid and make couples between them..
Should I create another shell in the cell table and add the new shell on the fluid surface that I want to make couples with original one.. Finally use CSHELL to make couples between original shell and the new shell ? Thanks !! |

Your description indicates you are using the command incorrectly.
You entered cshell, all. The command should be cshell, ictid, all. |

Thank you very much, Pauli.
But after I knew how to enter correctly, I tried "CSHELL ICTID CSET". It still did not work. |

You need to replace ICTID with the shell ctype.
At the command line enter "help cshell" & follow the instructions. |
