Hi everyone ..
I am writing here after attempting desperately several times to resolve the reverse flow problem which appears after few iterations.... I set the initial conditions and the boundary conditions (velocity inlet, pressure outlet, symmetry and wall )..6DoF hull body ..VoF wave..multiphase mixture ..etc....everything seems correct but when I use a hull with a bulbous bow the simulation collapses cuz of a reverse flow !...dont understand why ? is it the meshing method ! for meshing i chose the models : Surface Remesher ..Trimmer .. Prism layer mesher..and applied volumetric control with Z axis anisotropic ..repeated the simulations with diff mesh qualities and still hit the same problem .... any advice will be highly appreciated .. |

the boundary where reverse flow occurs should be provided with 1 for either fluid. suppose if you provide fraction 1 for water and 0 for air it will only allow water to come in through reverse flow.
