Hello, recently, we simulate 1D spherical flame initiation in OpenFOAM using reactingFoam/reactingDNS and verify the combustion solvers aganist ASRUF.

The initiation of flame in code is to add a energy source into energy equation.

However, we cannot get a similar result aganist ASRUF. An appearant difference is that the energy that cannot ignition mixture in ASURF can ignite the mixture in OpenFOAM. And the evoluation of flame radius between two softwares is different (see the picture in supplement).

The case setup can be found in supplement. The energy disposited length rig=0.2mm, duration tig=0.2ms. The power formuation is power=energy/(4/3*3.14*rig^3*tig)*exp(-(r/rig)^6). topoSet is used to set a energy zone at the left of the domain.

I have a question that whether openfoam is not suitable for 1D simulations?
