Hi folks,

I have been trying to initiate parallel computing on my personal workstation for awhile, I am not sure if I am doing things right as I am getting some concerning error messages. To give you a background, Star CCM+ is installed on my machine (not on a network drive), I have total four cores and five research license allocated just for my use.

Below is the error message I get when I initiate the parallel computing using the load simulation window;

Starting local server: starccm+ -server -np 4 -mpidriver platform "Y:\\Star_ccm\\output_file\\10_5_CFD_paper\\7_a\\N ew Folder\\simulation5_finer_mesh_Copy@160.sim"

3 copies of ccmpsuite checked out from 1713@ ---

*I have took server name off of the code.

Reading this error message, my understanding is that (1) I am only able to check out one license for this simulation. Or, could it be that (2) I am only checking out 3 copies of ccmpsuite instead of four that I need. From what I know, unless I have a power session license, I have to have the same number of licenses as number of cores I intend to use. Is this correct? Lastly, it buggs me that it says WARNING: no cached password or password provided. (3) Is this an necessary information running parallel computing in one workstation? if it is, why would my CPU usage be 100% (which indicates that my cores are passing messages to each other without the MPI password)?

I am wondering if anyone else had a similar messages before? I would greatly appreciate your help! I am not sure if I am doing things right, is my magic parallel button working? how could I check?
