Hi, I have found that Tke and Tdr goes sky high is a frequently asked question by new CCM+ users.

Here is a different view:

1. Remove Tke and Tdr monitor from default Residuals plot.
2. Create two more plots, one named Tke, the other Tdr.
3. Turn Normalization off for Monitor Tke and Tdr.
4. Open the new Tke and Tdr plots.

Now you can see a different picture. What was sky high maybe excellent now.

I am new to CCM+ (used it many years ago), please confirm my method if it works for you too.

To add some more, turning off the normalization will give you the absolute residual which gives now meaning without comparing with real physical values. So have to be careful.

You can do this without making a new plot. Just turn it off in the monitor. You just have to understand what the normalization is and does.

Hello FEAFAN

You can try checking the invalid cells by selecting the regions and right clicking. Under the dropdown, select 'Remove Invalid Cells' . In the window that follows next, click preview. If there are very few invalid cells including negative volume cells you can remove them without having the solution affected severely.

If there's large count of negative volume cells and invalid cells you should check for 'Face Proximity' in your remeshed surface. In case there's a large count of 'Face Proximity' you should try to minimize it.

Hope this was helpful.

Thanks me3840/ggulgulia, I agree. Residual goes up isn't a good thing. Something must be wrong.
