Hi everybody,

I am working on a numerical model of an immersed electronics system. I just finished the set up but when I want to mesh, I've got that error message and I don't know how to solve it ..

"An error occurred while attempting to orient the surface. This is usually due to self-intersections in the surface."

It gives me then the coordinates of the geometric range and the face concerned by the problem.

How can I solve this ?

Thx a lot !

Julie

I am assuming that you could not find any pierced faces. If not, look for them.

Did you try doing it in a different version? Sometimes that helps.

I am quite new to CFD-Simulation.

I tried to repair the surface mesh but I have no idea how to do that. Of course I referred myself to the user guide.

I've got 55 pierced faces and I don't really know how to fix them.

I hope you guys can help me out.

Cheers

Ps : @Kguntur what do you mean by "trying it in a different version" ?

Maybe you should try surface wrapper before remeshing the surface.

Hope it helps
