Hello,
I am performing steady state simulation on a single cylinder engine with 1 intake valve using the SST K omega turbulence models. I am using a ramping method with the aid of user defined field function to ramp the pressure at the inlet region BC from 5 to 5000 Pa(as per test bench results) . The BC is Stagnation inlet and Pressure outlet. My mesh base size is 6 mm with around 5 million cells. But my residuals do not converge. I am ramping from around 40th iteration to 140. I also tried varying this but the results do not tend to converge. My meshing seems to be fine and I have refined more near the valve opening and seat ring. I am using segregated flow. Could anyone kindly help me with this as I been trying a lot to sort this out. Please find the attached residual image. Thanks in advanve. |
